Our private Curtis / Germfask, MI cabin rental is available year around for your enjoyment. The woods  and river provide an excellent venue for fishing and canoeing/kayaking in the summer months (rentals available next door) with excellent hunting during the late fall / early winter. The woods come alive with beauty during the fall color season. When people think of  winter sports excitement they think of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula!  Norwegian Woods is located in the heart of snowmobiling country with access right from the cabin to the U.P. snowmobile trail system less then half of a mile away.  Cross-country skiing is also available at the nearby SENEY National Wildlife Refuge.

Upper Peninsula Things to See
When you stay here at The Norwegian Woods, you will be centered amid a huge amount of great Upper Peninsula Things to See.  You and your guests will be within an hour of a long list of attractions that are family friendly and fun.  Just minutes away, you can visit the Seney National Wildlife Refuge where wildlife thrives.  Guests can canoe, hike, bike, or take the Marshland Drive by vehicle.  Also we are very close to the smallest little town of Curtis, MI where the Erickson Center for the Arts features many great yearly events along with music in the park.  Guests will definitely want to visit the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, Oswald's Bear Ranch, Tahquamenon Falls State Park to view the Upper Tahquamenon Falls along with the Lower.  Visit our Things to See page to view photos and important information and links.

Rentals Available Next Door at Big Cedar Campground
Spring, summer and falls entices our guests to fully experience what is right out your back door - the Manistique River.  Fishermen will be able to walk a few feet and cast a line into the Manistique River.  During peak season, Chinook salmon are present in the river.  Other varieties of fish available to catch are:  Northern Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Steelhead, Walleye, Brown Trout, and Panfish.  Also, plan to visit the Seney Wildlife Refuge, which is a fisherman's dream.

Come and explore the Eastern and Central Upper Peninsula which is a playground for all who seek the great outdoors.  The growing UTVing sport offers groups the ability to enjoy rides together in side-by-sides, along with miles of trails to ride.  U.P. vacation home is motorcycle, ATV, UTV, ORV friendly and trails are just 5 miles away. Other great U.P. activities include:  paddle boarding, swimming, boating, agate hunting, Yooperlites, mushroom hunting, biking, hiking, just to name a few. 

Winter activities highlight the U.P.'s favorite sport - snowmobiling.  Trails throughout the area lead to winter time attractions, restaurants, entertainment, and fun riding through the most beautiful forests.  We have ample space for your trailer parking. The cabin comfortably accommodates up to 8 people.
